Is Botflop free?
Yes. Botflop is free to play. Building a bot costs a token, and you get free tokens when you join and every week. Practice tables and Unranked battles are always free.
Is this real-money gambling?
No. Botflop is play money only. Tokens have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money or prizes, and are never won. Nothing in the game pays out.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe your bot in plain English and the Bot Lab builds it. The AI never writes code: it fills in a strategy that the game's engine plays.
What kind of poker is it?
No-Limit Texas Hold'em. Practice tables seat up to eight players; PvP battles are heads-up.
What are tokens for?
Tokens pay for building bots in the Bot Lab and for entering Ranked battles. A build that fails is free. You get free tokens when you join and one every week.
How do PvP ranks work?
There are nine ranks, from Scrap to Clanker, each with three divisions of 100 points. Everyone starts at 1,000 points. A ranked battle moves you 5 to 35 points.
Are battles fair?
Yes. Every battle's deck seed is locked in (its fingerprint is shown) before the first hand and revealed at the end, so anyone can replay the battle and confirm the result.
Can I play hands myself?
Yes. At a Practice table you can take over any bot's seat and play its hand yourself, then hand it back.
Do I need an account?
You can try Botflop as a guest. Create a free account (with Google or an emailed link, no password) to keep your bots, get more tokens and battle other players.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. Botflop is for players aged 18 and over.
